At Kind Mind Psychology, we offer trauma-informed therapy for adults, grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming and non-weight-focused approach.

Most of us are born feeling at home in our bodies and with food, and somewhere along the way we become disconnected from them or feel shame about them. - Cassie Krajewski,

Monique Pittas (She/Her)

Welcome, to Kind Mynd Psychology, I’m Monique, a registered psychologist based in Melbourne, offering trauma-informed therapy for adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and body image concerns.

I support clients who want to understand the deeper patterns behind how they think, feel, and relate, especially when these patterns have developed as ways of coping or surviving earlier experiences. My approach is compassionate, non-judgemental, and grounded in curiosity, helping you move away from shame and toward self-understanding.

My work is neurodiversity-affirming, weight-neutral, gender-affirming, and relational. I take a collaborative, slower-paced approach, where the therapeutic relationship is a central part of the process. In sessions, we may use experiential approaches to help you process emotions and gently shift long-standing patterns.

I integrate evidence-based therapies including EMDR, Schema Therapy, DBT, SSCM, and Focal Psychodynamic Therapy to support meaningful, lasting change.

In the spirit of reconciliation Kind Mynd Psychology acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. I pay my respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today. I am greatful to live and work on the lands of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded.
