Areas of Support

Currently I am only accepting Medicare, Private Health and NDIS clients.
My Therapeutic ApproachesI use evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches tailored to you. These include:
Our work together
A few things you can count on:
-
I won’t push you to open up before you’re ready
-
There’s no pressure to be “doing better”, messy is welcome
-
You can ask questions any time, and we’ll adapt things to suit your needs
-
Therapy isn’t about fixing you, it’s about understanding yourself. I take a neurodiversity-affirming approach that rejects a deficits based model, validates your lived experience and supports you in finding what works best for you.
If food, eating, or your body feels overwhelming...
You might be:
-
Swinging between restriction and bingeing
-
Feeling panicked after eating certain foods
-
Spending hours thinking about what you “should” or “shouldn’t” eat
-
Feeling like your body never feels “good enough” no matter what you do
In therapy, we might:
-
Get curious (not judgmental) about what’s behind these patterns
-
Explore how things like control, safety, or self-worth might be tangled up with food or your body
-
Challenge the unhelpful rules diet culture has handed you
-
Reconnect with your body’s cues and create more ease around food
-
Talk through sensory sensitivities, executive functioning challenges, or food texture issues, especially if you're neurodivergent
-
Find ways of eating and self-care that work for your brain, not just what works for the average person
-
Support you to build a more peaceful, flexible relationship with food and your body
If you’re working through trauma or emotional stuckness...
Maybe you’ve been:
-
Feeling anxious or on edge, even when nothing’s “wrong”
-
Going through the motions but feeling disconnected or numb
-
Stuck in people-pleasing, perfectionism, or high-functioning burnout
-
Carrying memories that feel too big, blurry, or painful to talk about
In therapy, we might:
-
Use EMDR to gently process distressing memories or beliefs at your pace
-
Explore how your nervous system reacts to stress, and build ways to feel safer in your body
-
Notice the patterns or “parts” of you that show up (like the critic, the avoider, or the achiever) and learn how to care for them
-
Practice emotional regulation tools that actually meet you where you’re at (not just breathing exercises that don’t work when you’re overwhelmed)
-
Work with your unique sensory profile or communication style, especially if you’re autistic, ADHD, or both
-
Validate how masking, social exhaustion, or feeling “too much” or “not enough” might be part of what’s keeping you stuck
-
Start to feel more grounded, connected, and like yourself again, maybe for the first time in a while
